Measure the usable label area
Evaluate your actual label on a physical sample. Check the label height, wrap length and how the label sits near the shoulder and base. Test readability with your pharmacy’s normal printer and label stock rather than relying only on a product photo.
Test your dispensing workflow
Review how each size fits the dispensing area, bins and any equipment you use. Ask for dimensions if automated equipment is involved. A catalog capacity does not establish compatibility with a dispensing machine.
Store unused packaging carefully
Ask the supplier for storage and handling instructions. Keep unused vials and caps in their original protective packaging in a clean, dry area, away from conditions the supplier advises against. Packaging storage guidance is separate from medicine storage instructions.
Inspect incoming shipments
Check the ordered sizes, closures, case quantities and visible condition on arrival. Retain product and shipment references so any discrepancy can be raised with the supplier. Ask for the agreed process for damaged or incorrect shipments.
